Yes. USCIS has confirmed that it accepts documents notarized via Remote Online Notarization (RON) when performed by a commissioned notary in a state that has enacted RON legislation. Florida enacted its RON law (Chapter 117) effective January 1, 2020, and our notary is commissioned and compliant. If you have specific concerns about a particular form, call us and we can confirm before your session.
Florida RON law allows Florida-commissioned notaries to notarize documents for signers located anywhere in the world, provided the notary is physically in Florida during the session. However, the legality in the jurisdiction where the document will be used may vary. For immigration documents submitted to USCIS, this is generally accepted. For other uses, consult an attorney or call us to discuss your specific situation.
